WebFocus Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining WebFocus-based solutions to meet our organization's business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze data, and create reports and dashboards using WebFocus. Additionally, you will provide technical expertise, support, and troubleshooting for WebFocus-related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and maintain WebFocus reports, dashboards, and applications according to business requirements.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements, translating them into actionable insights and visualizations.
3. Build and optimize SQL queries, procedures, and scripts to extract and manipulate data from various sources for use in WebFocus.
4. Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
5. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting issues and optimizing performance as needed.
6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in WebFocus and data visualization techniques.
7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and methodologies related to WebFocus development and deployment.
8. Document technical specifications, user guides, and training materials for WebFocus solutions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Proven experience as a WebFocus Developer or Engineer, with a strong understanding of WebFocus architecture and components.
3. Proficiency in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
4. Hands-on experience with WebFocus tools and technologies, including WebFocus Developer Studio, InfoAssist, and ReportCaster.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
